After almost one year of waiting and many months of leaks and rumors, Apple has recently introduced the latest iPhone lineup: iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S. Beyond the price, the two devices are separated by several unique features. Depending on your desires for gaming, photography, security, style — and yes, your budget — it’s likely that one phone is a better fit for your needs. So, what are the big changes this time? Check it out.
Both iPhone 5C and 5S will use Apple’s new iOS 7 operating system which will give a fresh new look and feel to the design of the phone and also adds in some cool new features like Control Center, AirDrop for iOS, and smarter multitasking. It also makes the things you do every day even easier, faster, and more enjoyable. And while many of the apps look different, the way you do things feels perfectly familiar!
Think of the iPhone 5C as a fresh, less expensive take on the original iPhone 5. Many of the features are the same, but the most obvious difference is that it’s available in five colors — green, blue, pink, yellow and white. Color expresses a feeling and makes a statement. Color reveals your personality. So if you are ready for a more vibrant feel, the iPhone 5c is perfect for you! Also, given the phone’s steel-reinforced, polycarbonate construction, the iPhone 5C could be a more suitable choice if you’re prone to accidents.
Now the more expensive option– the iPhone 5S.
The iPhone 5S will come in white, grey and gold. This one will also be running on the iOS 7 operating system but there are a few upgrades that make this phone stand out from the 5C. The coolest feature is the TouchID feature which will replace your pass code for getting into your phone. Regardless of your age or occupation, you probably have private data that you’d prefer keep to yourself. Fingerprint scanning is built into the Home button so you are the only one allowed into your phone. It also has a new chip, the A7, which apparently makes this phone much faster than the other iPhones. And of course, it has a really amazing camera – larger pixels, larger aperture, True Tone flash, auto image stabilization, slow motion video, etc. Not only that, but it has some great photo filters. Goodbye Instagram, hello iPhone 5S!
